“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 NKJV

It was the first day back at school in BSSM first year. We made declarations as a class for the new year. There was much hunger and anticipation in the room as a few students and pastors released words.

As it was my turn to go, I felt electricity hit my body, felt knots in my stomach as I addressed the class:

“My spirit is in great anticipation for this year. There is a level of increase that we are about to step into and I feel it is connected to hunger and courage. I have been feeling that we are stepping into another level of courage and the core of that is hunger for the One who brought us here. It doesn’t matter what we do or what we have. It only matters that we are looking at His face.”

I knew God was going to highlight someone in the room as a prophetic statement for the whole class so I continued:

“I have had this date for the last couple of weeks now which I think it is a birthday, July 2nd. I also heard Janesville, Minnesota.”

A man started making his to the stage as the class cheered. I asked, “Is your name Alan by any chance?”

The class erupted! I declared courage and hunger over him and the room. But it’s not over. Another man came up and said, “I’m visiting but my name is also Alan and my birthday is also July 2nd.” We all go wild again! I thought, “What are you saying, God?”

We prayed for both Alans, roared over the Alan who was visiting, and declared, “May you receive everything you came here for and more so you can take it with you to your hometown.”

Then we all noticed they were wearing the same outfit! My declaration from this that I want to release to all of you as well:

“It’s a year of double portion (two Alans with the same birthday and wearing the same outfit). God is pouring out fresh courage and hunger. He is reviving dreams, promises, and giving out a new boldness to carry the gospel.”

It’s not done yet. There’s more.

A woman came afterwards and said, “My birthday is also July 2nd and I was born in Janesville not in Minnesota but Wisconsin.”

Again, there’s more.

The Alan who was visiting went back to his hometown. He shared what happened to his pastor and church. The power of God hit the room that the church hadn’t experienced in 45 years!

Are you hungry? Receive not only the double portion but also the full measure of what God has for you!
