I woke up this morning with this repeating in my head: “Little fires everywhere.” No dream, just the words, “Little fires everywhere. Little fires everywhere.” The Lord said, “I am lighting little fires everywhere. In people’s hearts, I am lighting a fire. The fire that is burning away all the dried up and dead things in their lives. A fire that starts small but is on purpose. A fire that begins with warming just the one person, giving them comfort and warmth, drawing them closer to Me. And, as they draw closer, they become mesmerized and consumed by Me.”

This fire is threefold.

Firstly, it gives warmth and protection and comfort.

Secondly, it burns all of those things in their lives I have been pruning. All those things that they no longer need. All those things they have carried for years. As they draw closer to Me, they realize they don’t need them anymore.

Hurts, fears, unforgiveness, lies, resentment, mindsets, habits of protection, self-soothing, independence, pride, false humility, self-protection, sexual sin, addictions, depression, religiosity, bitterness, false identity, confusion, prolonged grief, envy and strife.

Thirdly, as they submit themselves and draw closer to Me the fire begins to increase. As it grows so does their passion. A hunger and thirst for more begins to rumble inside of them. Ears are unblocked, hearts are opened. There is a re-ignition, a restoration that is taking place in the people of God.

I am raising up not just a remnant, but an army of Believers who burn for Me. People who have one heart and one passion – to bring My heart and build My Kingdom. People from all walks of life, all ages, all generations! People who see and hear Me clearly and carry My heart. People whose senses are sharpened and are poised for victory.

I am lighting little fires everywhere. Fires that are growing in power. Fires that are increasing the heat and becoming the light. A light, a burning fire that can be seen from afar. A light in the darkness that draws people to it. A lighted fire that repels the enemy and protects the people.

Little fires everywhere that are joining up with other fires to ignite communities and to ignite nations!

A light that cannot and will not be ignored! I am lighting little fires everywhere.

Are you one of these fires? Are you drawing closer? Can you see it? Can you feel it?

The time is coming and now it is here for people who are worshiping and living in spirit and in truth.

Little fires everywhere forming a fire front that cannot be ignored, that cannot be put out!

I hear the Johnny Cash song, “Burning Ring of Fire.” The words: ‘I went down, down, down and the flames went higher and it burns, burns, burns the ring of fire. The ring of Fire.’  Then it continues, ‘The taste of love is sweet. When hearts like ours meet. I fell for you like a child. Oh, the fire went wild.’

I feel that as we go low and submit ourselves to His process with the heart and trust of a child, His fire will not only consume us, but also burn all the stuff’ of . . . but it becomes brighter and more powerful!

Praying and declaring today:

God, thank you that You never leave us or forsake us.
Thank you that we can come before You with all of our stuff and give it to You!

Help us to recognize the invitation from You to draw closer to You, just as a little child clings to their loving father, and not run away when we are fearful or uncomfortable.

Thank you that You carry our heart in Your hands and we can trust You in the process – even if sometimes it doesn’t feel good. For when You begin a good work, You complete it. You see the best in us! You know us. And above all else, You love us with a perfect love that casts out all fear! We are your people. We are your family. We are an army arising!
